I have been reflecting on how our spiritual and material worlds are sometimes quite divided.  I am quite quick to try and shun materialism as much as possible.  Hoping that it will free me up for more spiritual, eternal (long term!) planning.  However, Paul was confident that the material and spiritual sides both needed attention.  After all, the material world, our bodies included, are a gift from God.
That is why I love organisations like Tear Fund – practical gospel.  What’s the point of saving souls if the physical body is starving?
“There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except in the form of bread.”  Mahatma Ghandi
